Hope vibrates like a harp; no harsh sounds emanate from a harp. If you blow incorrectly into a trombone you can achieve an a-melodic noise and clarinets are famous for their dissidence. A harp however resonates with melodic harmony and that's how it is with hope.
Hope brings light into the darkest corners of the world; it brings light to those huddled in the dark in forgotten places. Hope exists when food, when financial wealth does not.
Hope according to legend sprang from Pandoras box. When illness came into the world, so did hope. you cannot eat hope, and you cannot burn hope for warmth, but hope can light a more important hidden flame. Hope lends tenacity to the mind.
Triumph in the face of adversity is an old theme amongst stories. Whether it is man against man or man versus nature hope exists. It exists as the quantum string theory invisible and binding. Hope threads through every heart and connects us as humans.
Well I guess my humanitarian side is showing, While I'm at it I have a confession to make; I went to a fortune teller today. Perhaps it is the advent of the New Year but I was feeling lost. I ducked into sense of serenity for some incense and ended up going in for a reading. It was helpful; although by and large I suspect the lady was a charlatan.
An interesting point that came up was that I possess a comforting energy. She said that I was a natural mediator and that people often dump their problems on me or come to me for advice and expect me to know what to do. I thought that statement was correct but no big deal--doesn't everyone get problems thrust at them?
However as soon as I came out of the reading a friends girlfriend was sending me texts that were angry, confused, and seeking my advice.
I don't mind it; I am flattered that people take comfort in me. Sometimes it makes me feel used because people will take what they need and leave. Or sometimes people become to attached to me for next to no reason.
i'll do a year in review post as is my usual tradition...later.
Have a good New Years and may the next year bring us all health, wealth and happiness.
What is that old saying? Oh yes: Goodnight, and good luck.
